Presbyterian Support Northern's services
Presbyterian Support Northern operates from 20 different sites around the Upper North Island. Details on the services available in each area are provided below, along with links to more information.
Whangarei
Family Works Northern in Whangarei provides counselling and social work services and a range of group programmes for children, young people, parents/caregivers and families. Their flagship programme is the Wilderness Experience, an outdoor activity-based therapeutic programme for young people aged 11 to 17.
Intensive Budgeting Support is also available in Whangarei, by arrangement.
North Shore City
Family Works Northern on the North Shore comprises of two family workers, based in Albany, who provide core counselling and social work services and some group programmes for children, young people, parents/caregivers and families.
Enliven Homelink is a support service for older people on the North Shore. It aims to support older people to achieve increased wellbeing and independence through healthy engagement with community services and / or social groups.
Budgeting services are also available in North Shore City.
Auckland City
Family Works Northern in Auckland, based at the Leslie Centre in Mt Roskill, provides counselling and social work services and a range of group progammes for children, young people, parents/caregivers and families.
Enliven in Auckland provides home-based restorative support services tailored to meet the needs of older people (65+) who are living in their own home. In Auckland Enliven also co-ordinates a Befriending Service of volunteers who support older people living at home by stopping in regularly for a chat, helping them get to an appointment or a leisure activity - anything that helps ensure older people continue to have social interaction.
Coactive provides home and community-based support to disabled people in Auckland, aimed at supporting them to live their chosen lifestyles.

Presbyterian Support Northern also operate a Foodbank from St David's church in Newmarket, Auckland.
East Auckland
Family Works Northern in East Auckland comprises of two family workers, based in Panmure, who provide core counselling and social work services and some group programmes for children, young people, parents/caregivers and families.
Budgeting services are also available in East Auckland.
Waitakere City
Family Works Northern in Waitakere, based in Henderson, provides counselling and social work services and a range of group progammes for children, young people, parents/caregivers and families.
Budgeting services are also available in Waitakere.
Manukau City
Family Works Northern in Manukau, based at Te Hononga in Manurewa, provides counselling and social work services and a range of group progammes for children, young people, parents/caregivers and families. Two child advocates are based at the Te Hononga site, one for the Manukau City region and one for the Franklin-Pukekohe region.
Enliven in South Auckland provides home-based restorative support services tailored to meet the needs of older people (65+) who are living in their own home.
Coactive provides home and community-based support to youngerdisabled peoplein Auckland, aimed at supporting them to live their chosen lifestyles.
Budgeting services are also available in Manukau.
Waikato
Family Works Northern in Waikato, based in Hamilton, provides counselling and social work services and a range of group progammes for children, young people, parents/caregivers and families. A Family Works child advocate is based in Te Puke, South Waikato.
Enliven in Waikato provides home-based restorative support services tailored to meet the needs of older people (65+) who are living in their own home. In addition Enliven Waikato runs a Day Programme aimed at reconnecting older people with their communities, providing opportunities for social interaction and various activities and outings, and supporting them to achieve other goals. Enliven Waikato is also contracted to provide a transition programme to support older people who want to stay in their own home, but may need support in a rest home for a period of time.

Rotorua
Family Works Northern in Rotorua provides counselling and social work services and a range of group progammes for children, young people, parents/caregivers and families.
Enliven in Rotorua provides home-based restorative support to older people (65+); a transition programme to support older people who want to stay in their own home but may need support in a rest home for a period of time; and a post-discharge service aimed at supporting people for the first four to six weeks after hospitalisation.
Intensive Budgeting Support is also available in Rotorua, by arrangement.
Western Bay of Plenty
Family Works Northern in Western Bay of Plenty, based at the Hillier Centre in Mt Maunganui,provides counselling and social work services and a range of group progammes for children, young people, parents/caregivers and families. Two child advocates and a family violence prevention advocate operate from Hillier Centre on behalf of Family Works.
Enliven in Tauranga provides home-based restorative support to older people (65+) who want to remain in their own homes, and a transition programme to support older people who want to stay in their own home but may need support in a rest home for a period of time.
Intensive Budgeting Support is also available in Western Bay of Plenty, by arrangement.
Eastern Bay of Plenty
Family Works Northern in Eastern Bay of Plenty, based in Whakatane, provides counselling and social work services and a range of group progammes for children, young people, parents/caregivers and families.
The Pohutukawa Club in Whakatane is an Enliven Day Programme aimed at reconnecting older people with their communities, providing opportunities for social interaction and various activities and outings, and supporting them to achieve other goals.

Taupo
Family Works Northern in Taupo provides counselling and social work services andsomegroup progammes for children, young people, parents/caregivers and families.
Enliven in Taupo provides home-based restorative support to older people (65+); a transition programme to supoort older people who want to stay in their own home but may need support in a rest home for a period of time; and a post-discharge service aimed at supporting people for the first four to six weeks after hospitalisation.
