Enliven Service - Information for ReferrersAs a result of client and family feedback and growing international evidence of the benefits of Positive Ageing, Presbyterian Support Northern made a decision a few years ago to transition its services for older people from a traditional to a restorative model of service - resulting in Enliven Positive Ageing Services. Enliven staff work alongside older people in their own homes and communities, helping them stay actively involved in the things that make their life worth living, and help keep them fit and well. Enliven offers a continuum of service – for those who are simply finding everyday tasks a bit challenging through to those who have suffered a major setback and/or may be considering permanent residential care, and everyone in between. The beauty of Enliven is the ability for clients to move up and down this continuum as needed under the same service provider and therefore to retain the same support team. With over 120 years of service in meeting unmet community need Enliven has been developed by an organisation with a huge depth of experience in this field. Enliven offers health professionals, clients and their families the expertise our team has built up over decades of working with older people. Enliven is in line with the Government’s Positive Ageing strategy and is a valuable addition to the aged care sector. Enliven services are tailored to meet the needs of individual clients. They may include:
Please note: Our services are funded by various district health boards, and are therefore free to clients. However, in order to receive Enliven Positive Ageing Services older people will need to be referred to us by the local Needs Assessment and Service Co-ordination agency. Why Choose Enliven?
