How You Can HelpVolunteeringEnjoy the company of older people? Want to make a difference in their lives?We are looking for warm, caring, reliable people to become Volunteer Befrienders - providing company and practical assistance to older people in their neighbourhood. It might mean stopping by for a chat, helping someone get to an appointment or out to a leisure activity - anything that helps a person keep doing the things that make them independent and keeps their life full. Volunteer befrienders are not paid - but they do get regular training, support, and petrol costs covered in some instances. There is also a need for Volunteer Drivers to transport clients to and/or from the Day Programmes.
